Lula Restaurant Distillery, the state's first restaurant distillery, is seeking an Executive Chef for its 250+ seat restaurant on St. Charles Avenue. Responsibilities include:
- Overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area
- Working with general management/owners to create dishes, hire kitchen staff, purchase food and stock, and ensure everyone is trained on proper food preparation and kitchen safety techniques
- Ensuring that Lula’s general management and owner food standards are upheld (taste and presentation, proportions and cooked and served quickly).
- Ensuring that the kitchen is properly cleaned on a regular schedule, food is disposed of properly and the kitchen meets all Health Department sanitary standards.
- Maintaining food cost, waste and kitchen employee hours to ultimately optimize profit and create the best dining experience possible for guests
